Glass columns and kits for low-pressure flash chromatography. Suitable for separating compounds down to the gram scale. These columns are usually filled to a height of approx. 15 cm, the working pressure is 1.5 to 2 bar. The most commonly used sorbent is silica gel 60 with a particle size of 40-63 μm, but you can also use other products from our range of LC sorbents as well as our POLYGOPREP silica gels. Particle sizes < 25 μm should only be used with very low-viscosity mobile phases, as otherwise the back pressure could become too high. These columns are packed by the user. Flash chromatography glass columns complete with adapter and PTFE stopcock, equipped with a polyethylene mesh to protect against bursting.
