Polymer-based HPLC phase for the separation of sugars. Sulfonated polystyrene/divinylbenzene resins in Ca-ion form. A different selectivity pattern compared to NUCLEOGEL SUGAR columns considerably extends the range of applications. The separation mechanism is based on ion exclusion, ion exchange, size exclusion, ligand exchange as well as NP and RP chromatography.
