Description
Plastic bottles are used in IC, for heavy metal analysis, for polar (e.g. proteins) or pH-sensitive samples and for AAS, CE applications. Recommended for PFAS analysis in combination with closure 702402. In addition, the use of plastic vials is strongly recommended when analyzing pesticide residues, as some of these compounds (e.g. phosphonate, nicotine, paraquat, diquat, streptomycin and glyphosate) tend to interact with glass surfaces. Such interactions with glass surfaces are typically more pronounced in solutions consisting of aprotic solvents (e.g. acetonitrile). Increasing the water content and/or acidity typically reduces such interactions. Percentage losses due to such interactions are typically higher at low concentrations.
